ABOUT THE STUDIO
We invent a world where every body has the opportunity to participate.

Hi, I’m Maegan! My interior design career started with a personal journey to renovate and adapt my first home. I needed my home to fit my accessibility needs but wanted my home to go beyond my chair and be as stylish as my personality.
In 2009 I incurred a C6-C8 spinal cord injury and have been a wheelchair user ever since. I am now diagnosed with an incomplete C8 spinal cord injury and experience paralysis in most of my body.
My whole life including my living requirements changed overnight. As a person with a new disability, it seemed the majority of options to make my home accessible were straight up ugly and reminded me of being in a hospital. It got me thinking…we are more than this!
Combining my perspective of disability with my life-long passion for interior design fueled me to find creative ways to make spaces beautifully accessible. In 2018 I started Blue Copper Design to elevate the world of adaptive design.
When I am not waist deep in design you can find me binging on murder mystery shows, playing with my dogs Odin & Luna, and beating the Arizona heat in a pool with a spicy margarita.

Korey is our right hand woman. Her passion for design and ability to wear many hats makes her our favorite design assistant. You may see her at appointments, install days, running around town, and behind the scenes of our photo shoots.
When she's not fluffing pillows and taking measurements you can find her hunting down the best vintage finds.
Being married to Maegan comes with perks and one of those is being our unofficial handyman! You may see Chris driving our delivery truck, getting things on top shelves and carrying all of our heavy items.
When he isnt moving boulders for Blue Copper Design you can find him growing his real estate empire with 1911 Syndicate.
